While paint is drying, I can work on the charcoal basket. I picked up a piece of 16g expanded metal and rolled it around the LP tank to get it into a basic circle. I was going to weld the ends together, but renting a wire feed welder for 15 minutes seemed ridiculous and breaking out my Oxy/Acetylene rig would be a PITA, so I grabbed some stainless hardware and through-bolted the ends together. Next time I have a welding project, I'll address the basket.
The bottom of the charcoal basket is a Weber 17" charcoal grate and I'll use U-bolts or safety wire to tie the two pieces together until I can get it welded up.
Both are covered in oil so they'll be wiped down with acetone and then torched clean.
