This door has been cut out and properly re-hung and is ready for trim out. I wanted to shoot some reference photos to document the cracks in the plaster before I start shooting the casing on. You can sort of see the crack at the middle of the top jamb and extending up past the smoke detector mount.
Typically you'd pre-drill and hand drive #6 finish nails in this application, but I was able to dial up the pressure on my compressor and shoot nails with no damage to the plaster. (Translation: That just saved me a bunch of time and the owner a pretty good chunk of labor money)
