Last door to replace. This is the doorway leading from the house to the garage. When I pulled the casing off the old door and began to cut it out, it appeared the framing was moving with the recip-saw. Once the door was out, I saw why...
Nothing but air and blown cellulose insulation behind what's supposed to be a trimmer stud. The "header" pretty much fell out (You can see it's missing) because the nails that were driven in didn't hit anything... The only thing holding it in place was the cripples above it.
This is on whoever cut the hole in the wall and installed the door initially....
