So this is pretty much me after 4 days of (pardon the expression) un-f***king another "carpenter"'s nearly indescribable pre-hung door installation(s). I've been building stuff and fixing things for well over 30 years (probably close to 40 if you count all the time I worked for/with my old man when I was a young teenager) and I have *never* seen such shoddy work by someone who is getting PAID to do the work.

I've seen some pretty crappy stuff done by homeowners over the years but even those instances may pale in comparison to what I saw here.

So the run up; I was asked by the homeowner to help get her rental property back together. She wanted me to come by the property and take a look at trimming out all the doors and installing some new baseboard. I was told all the new doors were up and 2 of them needed to have the swing direction changed.

I dropped by and took a quick look. Everything except the front door (which was clearly way out of whack.) actually looked ok and I told her it'd be cheaper and easier to buy replacement doors for the two that opened the wrong way and I could get those two swapped out and everything cased (11 doors in all) in a couple days.

When I arrived the next morning to get started, I took a much closer look at what I was in for. The following pictures only show SOME of what I had to fix before I could start....
