This was shortly after we moved in. Previous owner had some cheap-ass TV mount on the wall I wanted to get rid of and when I started digging, I found this gizmo buried in the wall. That discoloration is heat damage. It still surprises me this place hasn't burned down because of the crap electrical work that was done.
