I'd forgotten just how hard Quartzite is. I got most of the hole opened up pretty quickly, but the one 'flat' spot around the 2 o'clock position was ridiculously hard and wiped out 3 burrs with zero progress. The hole is just large enough to get the faucet guts down, so I won't be trying to open it up further.
