The black line off the faucet is to drain brine. It requires a 3/8" hole in the sink tailpiece or an adapter to connect to the dishwasher drain at the garbage disposal. I've loosened the tail piece so I can work on it easily and I'll rotate it into position and tighten it back up when I connect the drain saddle.
