I ran into a couple issues when bleeding the hydraulics. First, don't add all 3 gallons to the reservoir until the bleeding is done. The returning oil has a LOT of air in it and WILL overflow the tank. I'd start with 2 gallons and do the bleeding SLOWLY.
Second, the locks don't completely disengage unless the crossmember sheaves are rigged like this. The lift was stuck about 5' in the air until I made this change. It was a bit of a pain to reroute this cable, but the 'instructions' should have mentioned this in the Cables section.
